Serengeti Safari Camp
Serengeti Safari Camp is a mobile camp moving seasonally depending on where the migration herds are. The camp ‘leap frogs’ its sister camp to new locations so there is always one camp open allowing guests to enjoy the migration. They always, literally, remain ahead of the game. The Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp always positions itself near an airstrip for easy access and is very easy to combine the Serengeti with other areas in northern Tanzania. Typically, a 3 or 4 night stay in the camp offers the optimum amount of time in the Serengeti and is a great when combined with the other Nomad property near the area, Lamai Serengeti (which is more opulent and high-end). However, for those looking for a rough, rustic Tanzanian safari holiday experience, this place is ideal.
The camp consists of two communal tents in the centre of the camp, with a mess tent where all meals are served and another tent where there is a relaxed ‘camping bar’ and comfortable chairs to enjoy a drink before dinner.
The 8 meru style tents are equally spread out either side of the communal area with views of the Serengeti. The tented rooms all have an en-suite that features a bathroom area at the rear of the tent with flush toilet and bucket shower. The tents are large and very comfortable.
The main activity in the Serengeti is game driving and Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp offers private game drives in closed sided vehicles.
