Nsolo
Nsolo is the quintessential ‘bare-foot luxury’ bush camp. One of the most remote bush camps in the South Luangwa wilderness, Nsolo is the local name for the honey guide and the camp was named after this extraordinary little bird. The camp has just four very spacious chalets built on raised wooden decks with grass and reed walls and open air en-suite bathrooms. Each chalet is set under the shade of evergreen trees with private verandahs overlooking the surrounding bush and waterholes in the Luwi River. The chalets are individually designed and extremely comfortable with the finest bedding.
On the banks of the Luwi River is an open sided, shady chitenje lounge with bush bar and dining area offering a peaceful refuge where guests can study the camps collection of books or watch a variety of game visiting the permanent pools of water in the Luwi riverbed.
Guests experience an incredible variety of game-viewing with regular wild dog sightings, buffalo and lion action on walking safaris and afternoon/evening game-drives. Situated on a regular elephant path and with its own family of honey badgers – there is always plenty going on. Additionally, Nsolo is the perfect camp for guests to experience our “Return to the Wild” Sleepout; falling asleep under just a mosquito net and the stars.
