Chobe Savanna Lodge
The emphasis of Chobe Savanna Lodge is on relaxation – sipping a drink at the lodge bar while watching game pass by, or lounging in a boat, looking out for wildlife on the bank.
Chobe Savanna Lodge sits on the Namibian bank of the Chobe River, right at the northern tip of Chobe National Park. The owners of the lodge work closely with the local community.
The main lodge is an attractive thatched, open-sided building with a lounge, library, dining room and bar, with fabulous 270° views across the river and the floodplains beyond. Outside there is a swimming pool, gazebo as well as a boma for outside meals.
Accommodation is in 12 stylish thatched suites with private decks where guests can sit outside and relax. The interiors are tastefully furnished, with a combined bedroom/lounge area and a luxurious bathroom.
Activities are mainly based around the river, with motorboat safaris on the river and walking safaris along the banks. Game drives are also possible and the birdwatching is good.
