Amanzi

Situated on the banks of the Ngwenya channel, a mere 3 kilometres from sister camp, Anabezi, is the rustic and charming Amanzi Camp. The name “Amanzi”, meaning “water” in the Indebele language, draws its inspiration from the site’s intimate position on the Zambezi.

Overlooking a mosaic of islands that are home to a herd of elephant bulls, all guests will have nothing less than viewing pleasure from the camp’s teak sun deck and pool on the water’s edge.

Four traditional, luxurious safari tents, positioned on a raised wooden deck allow for game to wonder around freely. There’s also a family unit perfect for groups with young children. Each tent boasts an indoor bathroom, spacious sitting area, 2 teak double or one king sized bed within a well-designed four poster mosquito net, a private wooden deck with stunning views of the Ngwenya Channel and 24 hour power supply.

A fusion of European and African cuisines, guests will enjoy some of the finest food passionately designed by the head chef. From a continental breakfast, to a buffet lunch and high tea full of tasty delights, guests will end the day with a three-course plated dinner and some of South Africa’s finest wines.
